Legacy Project - A Shed for SMK Idris Shah

Lions Club of Ipoh Host built a shed for the students of SMK Idris Shah to park their bicycles and motorcycles at their school compound.

The original shed in the school built more than 10 years ago had collapsed.

Gegar Carnival at SMK Idris Shah, Gopeng

Eleven Lions namely  President Emily Kong, 3rd Vice President R. Jeyasingam, Secretary Evonne Chen, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda, Club LCIF Coordinator PP Peter Lip, Lean Siang Kai, Mohd Sayadi, Mohd Said@Mosa, P. Velupillai, N. Rathakrishnan and Khairol Izam attended the Gegar Carnival at the SMK Idris Shah.

They were welcomed by the Principal En Sharifuddin bin Khalid and they had light refreshments with the Principal.

Later the Lions went over to the Leo Club of SMK Idris Shah booths and participated in the games.

Donation of RM600.00 to Leo Club of SMK Idris Shah

LCIH donated rm600.00 to the Leo Club of Idris Shah to assist them to organise three games booths at the Carnival Gegar at SMK Idris Shah, Gopeng.

Presentation of Wheelchair

The Lions Club of Ipoh Host presented a wheel chair to Gunasundri a/p Vyapuri at her home in Bandar Lahat Baru. She needed a new wheelchair to ease her everyday movement.

Mid Autumn Festival

Lions Club of Ipoh Host celebrated Mid Autumn Festival with children from Pertubuhan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan 1Malaysia, Ipoh, Perak.

The members treated the children to some food, drinks and mooncakes. Thereafter the children and the Lions celebrated the mid autumn festival with a lantern prosession.

Finally games were played and prizes were awarded to the children. All in all everybody had a good time including the Lions.

Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda attended the Soup Kitchen Project this week at Masjid Paloh, Ipoh. He was too busy distributing the food to take additional photographs.

80 food packets were distributed to children and adults.

9 lions attended the installation of the 41st President and Board of Directors of the Lioness Club of Ipoh held at the Dewan Azlan Shah, Royal Ipoh Club at 12:00 noon on 17th September, 2017.

Zone Meeting

President Emily Kong and Secretary Evonne Chen attended the 2nd District Governor Advisory Committee Meeting for Region 4, Zone 14 to discuss on the activities and projects to be carried out for the next three months. Meeting held at Ipoh Lions Centre, AEON Big, Falim at 7:30pm on 13th Sept, 2017.

The project was carried out at Masjid Kpg Paloh, Ipoh. 85 food packets were distributed to children and adults by Lion members.

Donation of Proceeds from Kumarsutra Ticket Sales to Lions Club of Ipoh Host by LOL Events (M) Sdn Bhd

A comedy show called Kumarsutra was staged at the Grand Valley Ballroom, Kinta Riverfront Hotel, Ipoh on 8th Sept, 2017.

The Organisers of this event agreed to donate 10% of the tickets sales to Lions Club of Ipoh Host.

The Lion members who attended the show were OC Mr Martin Balachandran, President Emily Kong, Treasurer Lakhmer Singh, 3rd Vice President R.Jeyasingam and PP Peter Lip.

UPSR Project at SK Guru Kalgidhar

Seventeen UPSR candidates from SK Guru Kalgidhar received a new set of stationary for their upcoming UPSR exam which will be starting on 11th September.

Lions Club of Ipoh Host also donated RM340.00 to sponsor the breakfast for the seventeen children during the four exam days.

Presentation of Wheel Chair

The Lions Club of Ipoh Host presented a wheel chair to Anita binti Husain at her home in Kpg Tersusan Batu 5, Kampung Kepayang. Anita is a polio victim. Her original wheel chair lasted her 15 yrs. She needed a new one.
