Hari Raya Celebration

LCIH celebrated Hari Raya with the children from Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Nurul Iman, Manjoi.

Blood Donation Campaign

Held at Ground Floor Ipoh Parade, Ipoh.

The project has been successful carried out with the participation of the members from the Royal Malaysia Police, Raja Permaisuri Bainun General Hospital, KMC Medical Centre and Ipoh Parade.

350 pints of blood was collected.

Leo Clubs Charter Day

The big day came. The District Governor District 308 B2 was there. The 1st Vice District Governor and 2nd Vice District Governor were also in attendance. 

With all the top three cabinet officers present the Leos were indeed privilleged on this historic occasion.

This is the 156 project and activity for this term. Already a record for LCIH.

Meeting with PDRM - Blood Donation

The LCIH is planning to carry out a blood donation project with the Royal Malaysian Police this month. 

LCIH held its first meeting with the police representative Inspector Leila at the Ipoh police headquarters.

The Lions present at the meeting were OC Mohd Sayadi and Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda.

LCIH 52nd Anniversary Celebration

The LCIH held its 52nd anniversary celebrations. It was carried out in a small scale with 70 attendees at the mezzanine floor of the Ipoh City & Country Club.

The Guest of Honour was District Governor Douglas Oh who inducted our member Khairol Izam.

The 2nd VDG William Lim was also in attendance.

There was a cake cutting ceremony attended by Past Presidents of the club.

After the function the members adjourned to the karaoke upstairs.

Charity Family Walk

The Charity Family Walk was a roaring success. We had more than 300 participants of which about 80 were our own Leos.

All the participants enjoyed themselves. Breakfast was served to everyone after the walk.

Thereafter certificates of achievement were presented to all those who completed the walk in an hour.

Best of all we together with ICCC raised more than RM10,000.00 for the Ray of Hope.

LCIH and Leo Club of Idris Shah at Pusat Kebajikan Orang Cacat, Gopeng

7 members from LCIH and 35 Leos from Leo Club of Idris Shah led by Leo President Dawson Chong together with their teacher advisor visited the Pusat Kebajikan Orang Cacat, Gopeng (Home for disabled people).

The Lions donated food rations while the Leos cleaned up the compound of the welfare home.

A fantastic turnout by the Leos. 35 out of 39 members turned up for this project.

Leolympics at SMK Anderson

Held at SMK Anderson Ipoh. Attended by President Emily Kong, Secretary Evonne Chen, Membership Chaiperson PP T. Sriskanda, Club LCIF Chairperson PP Peter Lip, Mohd Sayadi and N. Rathakrishnan.

Donation of Biscuits

LCIH visited the Pertubuhan Anak-Anak Yatim da Miskin Ar-Ridwani in Manjoi and donated tins of biscuits to the home. 

On hand to receive the donation were the caretaker and some children. 

The Lions present were President Emily Kong, Secretary Evonne Chen, Membership Chaiperson PP T. Sriskanda and son, Club LCIF Chairperson PP Peter Lip, Mohd Sayadi and Mohd Said @ Mosa.

Legacy Project at SMK Idris Shah

Seven Lions member attended the opening Ceremony of the motorcycle and bicycle garage at SMK Idris Shah. This is the Legacy Project organised by Lions Club of Ipoh Host and Leo Club of Idris Shah Sec School. The ribbon cutting ceremony was also attended by YDP PIBG of the school, Mr. Ahmad Termizi.

In her speech, President Emily Kong said the LCIH was looking forward to organise more meaningful project with the Leo Club and the school.

Legacy Project - A Shed for SMK Idris Shah

Lions Club of Ipoh Host built a shed for the students of SMK Idris Shah to park their bicycles and motorcycles at their school compound.

The original shed in the school built more than 10 years ago had collapsed.

Gegar Carnival at SMK Idris Shah, Gopeng

Eleven Lions namely  President Emily Kong, 3rd Vice President R. Jeyasingam, Secretary Evonne Chen, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda, Club LCIF Coordinator PP Peter Lip, Lean Siang Kai, Mohd Sayadi, Mohd Said@Mosa, P. Velupillai, N. Rathakrishnan and Khairol Izam attended the Gegar Carnival at the SMK Idris Shah.

They were welcomed by the Principal En Sharifuddin bin Khalid and they had light refreshments with the Principal.

Later the Lions went over to the Leo Club of SMK Idris Shah booths and participated in the games.

Donation of RM600.00 to Leo Club of SMK Idris Shah

LCIH donated rm600.00 to the Leo Club of Idris Shah to assist them to organise three games booths at the Carnival Gegar at SMK Idris Shah, Gopeng.

Region 4 & 5 38th Joint Installation of Alpha Leo Clubs

Ten Lions namely President Emily Kong, PP T. Sriskanda, PP Ho Choon Seng, Leong Chyi Liang, Lean Siang Kai,  Evonne Chen, Johnson Teoh, Mohd Sayadi, Mohd Said@Mosa and N. Rathakrishnan attended Region 4 & 5 38th Joint Installation of Alpha Leo Clubs at Excelsior Hotel Ballroom.

Leos Club of Anderson, Ave Maria, Idris Shah and Sam Tet which were sponsored by Lions Club of Ipoh Host participated in the Joint Installation caremony.

This is the first time so many Lions attended a Leo function.
