Sight First Project at SJK (C) Hing Hwa

The Lions Club of Ipoh Host carried out an eye check-up on 81 students of SJK (C) Hing Hwa. This project was carried out in conjunction with Lions World Sight Day. The Kinta Optometry Centre was on hand to assist the Lions in this project.

Lions present were President Emily Kong, 1st Vice President Christopher Chew, 2nd Vice President Jimmy Chua, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda, Club LCIF Chairperson Peter Lip, Tamer Hari Singh, Eugene Ong, Teoh Choong Shen and Wilson Wong.

Presentation of Books to School Children in Conjunction with Children Day

Lions Club of Ipoh Host presented nearly 200 story books to students of SJK(C) Hing Hwa to encourage them with their reading project.

Donation to Kamaleswaran a/l Kannan

Donation of RM1,800.00 to needy student Kamaleswaran a/l Kannan from The Salvation Army Boys’ Home who is pursuing his studies in Bachelor of Technology Management at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. The cheque was collected on his behalf by the captain of The Salvation Army Boys’ Home, Mr. Nigel Jones. Members present were President Emily Kong, 1^st Vice President Christopher Chew, 2^nd Vice President Jimmy Chua, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda, Tamer Hari Singh, Eugene Ong, Teoh Choong Shen and Wilson Wong.

Presentation of Gold Centennial Membership Pin

President Emily Kong Phooi Lai presented the Gold Centennial Membership pin to PDG Dato Dr. Foo Wan Kien. 

Lions who were there to witness the ceremony were 2nd Vice President Jimmy Chua, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda Eugene Ong and Leong Chyi Liang.

Soup Kitchen (Relieving the Hunger Project)

The project was carried out at Masjid Kpg Paloh, Ipoh. 75 food packets were distributed to children and adults by Lion members.

The Lions present were OC Eugene Ong, President Emily Kong,  2nd Vice President Jimmy Chua, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda and Club LCIF Coordinator PP Peter Lip.

4th Peace Poster Committee Meeting

Four LCIH members namely President Emily Kong, OC N. Rathakrishnan, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda and Club LCIF Chairperson PP Peter Lip attended the 4th Peace Poster committee meeting at Ipoh Lion Center.

Press Conference & 3rd Peace Poster Committee Meeting

Eleven Lions Club including Lions Club of Ipoh Host organised a press conference for the upcoming Peace Poster Contest at Ipoh Lions Center, AEON Big Falim, Ipoh.

Soup Kitchen (Relieving the Hunger Project)

90 food packets were distributed to children and adults.

Donation of story books by Pinnacle Eduhauz

Mr. &  Mrs Francis Kwan of Pinnacle Eduhauz donated story books worth about RM1,200.00 to the Lions Club of Ipoh Host. 

On hand to receive the books were Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda and Club LCIF Coordinator PP Peter Lip.

Original Charter Certificate and Recognition Plaque for Major Education Fund Donors

Especially to Cincinnati Lion. 

We have found the original charter certificate and an old recognition plaque for education fund donors in the store room of one of our senior Lion.
