LCIH and Leo Club of Idris Shah at Pusat Kebajikan Orang Cacat, Gopeng

7 members from LCIH and 35 Leos from Leo Club of Idris Shah led by Leo President Dawson Chong together with their teacher advisor visited the Pusat Kebajikan Orang Cacat, Gopeng (Home for disabled people).

The Lions donated food rations while the Leos cleaned up the compound of the welfare home.

A fantastic turnout by the Leos. 35 out of 39 members turned up for this project.

Donation of Biscuits

LCIH visited the Praise Girls Home and donated tins of biscuits to the home. 

On hand to receive the donation were the caretaker and some children.

Soup Kitchen (Relieving the Hunger Project)

The project was carried out at Masjid Kpg Paloh, Ipoh. We were shorthanded today. So only one photo. 90 food packets were given away.

The Lions present were Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda, Club LCIF Chairperson PP Peter Lip and N. Rathakrishnan together with a masjid committee member.

Educational Aid

The LCIH donated RM1,200.00 to assist Kavesha Renu, an acountancy student from Ungku Omar Polytechnic to ease her financial burden as from Jan to April 2018. 

On hand to present the cheque were President Emily Kong, Treasurer Lakhmer Singh, Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda and Lean Siang Kai.

Charity Walk organised by LCIH and ICCC in aid of The Ray Of Hope

The Lions Club of Ipoh Host and Ipoh City and Country Club (ICCC) held its 1st joint committee meeting to discuss the issues to be looked at for the Charity Walk on 25th Mac 2018.

The members present were Co-OC 2nd Vice President Jimmy Chua and Membership Chairperson PP T. Sriskanda who happens to be the Liasion Committee Chairperson of ICCC.

Region Meeting

President Emily Kong, 2nd Vice President Jimmy Chua and Club LCIF Chairperson PP Peter Lip attended the Region Meeting with District Governor Douglas Oh Aik Kim for Region 4, Zone 14 to discuss on the activities and projects.

Meeting held at Ipoh Lions Center, AEON Big, Falim.

During the meeting LCIH also received its Certificate and patch for winning the month of November Children Service Project and for participated in the month of December contest.

Paediatric Cancer Awareness Project

20 paediatric cancer patients and their parents were entertained at the Lost World of Tambun in a project jointly organised by four organisation, Lions Club of Ipoh Host (LCIH), Lost World of Tambun, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun and Lioness Club of Ipoh.

LCIH is deeply greatful to the Lost World of Tambun for allowing all participants of this project to enter Lost World of Tambun free of charge. 

LCIH is also greatful to the doctors and nurses of the paediatric cancer ward of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for accompying the   children in this project.

Leo Club of MGS AGM

The newly formed Leo Club of Methodist Girls School held its AGM on 17th January, 2018 at the school which was attended by 60 Leos. 

Present at this historic meeting were President Emily Kong and Leo Advisor Henna Tan.

This was LCIH's 100 project/activity for this term as from 1st July, 2017 to date.

Sight First Project

The LCIH completed round 2 of the Sight First project when it presented spectacles to 18 deserving students of SJKC Hing Hwa.

The club had earlier carried an eye screening project for all the students in October last year.
